When my son started growing out of his store bought hooded towels I decided to try my hand at making him some versions with regular sized towels and I was really happy with how they turned out. Now that my daughter is getting older, it’s time to start making some for her. Today in this Free Hooded Towels Tutorial I’m going to show you how to make both a bunny & fox hooded towel-perfect for Easter and also for gift giving! This free hooded towels tutorial includes both full step-by-step instructions, as well as the pattern pieces you’ll need. They are pretty easy to make and are so warm and cozy when finished! The pattern is trim-free, and comes in A4 or US letter size. – Sewing level: Beginner Options included: Bunny face or Fox face. Fabric requirements: 1 full size towel, 1 hand towel in a matching color, a cotton fabric for the interior of the ears and the cheeks/nose Notions: Thread, fusible web, 2 buttons for the eyes, 1/2 inch double fold bias tape/binding, optional interfacing for fox version. Tools required: Sewing machine, pins, scissors, tape measure (serger/overlocker not required). – This pattern can be used to make beautiful little towels for personal use, or can be made in limited quantities to sell.
