Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Fusible web applique
  • Curved sewing
  • Sewing many layers
  • Basting
  • Zipper installation (centered method)
  • Ladder stitch
  • Whip stitch

Pattern Description:

This simple little zipper pouch is modeled to look like a silly little squid. Complete with tentacles, hood fin, and doofy eyes. The back of the squid opens up for a fully lined storage pouch via a zipper sewn in with the centered method.

Minky is used in the sample pouch photo with a quilting cotton lining. I suggest using a similar plush fabric for this project. Fleece, felt, or terry cloth make great alternatives.
