Free Project – Log Cabin Hexi PotholderApril 30, 2015 / byFree Designs Admin / Categories : Free Project, Free Sewing Patterns
- Sew a 1/4” seam
- basic quilting (optional)
I love to sew potholders. It’s the perfect way to use up fabric and batting scraps. And to practice quilting. Plus when you’re done you have a beautiful and useful item. Sometimes I give them away and (I admit) a lot of the time I keep them for myself. Having a cute potholder makes cooking bearable for me. Why only bearable? Because I’d much rather be sewing.
When printing the pattern file, please uncheck ‘fit to page’ so that it prints the correct size. Each side of the hexagon template is 2”.
This download includes the hexagon template and basic instructions without photos. Find the detailed tutorial on my blog at www.sewcanshe.com/blog/2014/9/26/log-cabin-hexi-potholders-a-tutorial-with-partial-seams
